A Last Goodbye To Malcolm McLaren

A Last Goodbye To Malcolm McLaren: "

Malcolm Mclaren funeral hearse Originally posted on April 23, 2010

The funeral procession for one of Punk's godfathers occurred today in Camden, North London. In typical Malcolm McLaren fashion, his casket had the inscription "Too fast to live, too young to die" stenciled on the side of it.

His influence is too big to elaborate on in just one post. He was most noted for managing the quintessential English Punk band The Sex Pistols in the 1970's. He was also the owner and curator for the influential SEX shop in London along with long-time friend and fashion icon Vivienne Westwood.

Hundreds of people lined the main street in Camden to watch the funeral procession which featured flowers spelling out "Cash for Chaos", and a hearse that had a huge anarchy symbol flower arrangement. A bus played Sid Vicious' version of "My Way" and other tracks all the way up to its final stop at Highgate Cemetary.

He was a true pioneer and will most certainly be missed.
