We were listening to some of the 1987 Beatles reissue vinyls today and were wondering when they are going to put out an awesome Beatles box set for vinyl lovers. Upon doing a bit of research we found out that they are indeed working on them, although no official release date has been set.
Speaking to Mojo, Chief Executive of Apple Jeff Jones said, "We're working on them now, (but) I don't have a release date. To put a release date next to them forces us into a situation where we're releasing something that might not be ready." He goes on to say, "They are incredibly complicated in terms of getting the masters right and getting the packages right. How do you assemble them? How do you put them in a box? How much do they cost? We want to make sure we're doing it right and that people get real value from it."
So if you're a Beatle fan like us you can breathe a sigh of relief and know that they are on the way, and when they do get put out, we'll be sure to have them ready for you in our store. We really hope that they add Past Masters Vol. 2 to the box set so we can hear this one on vinyl.
