The L Magazine's Northside Festival is returning to the Greenpoint/Williamsburg hipster zone again this summer June 24-27. Last year's festival was a tremendous success for the magazine and with the lineup that they've assembled this year, it looks like this festival could fast overtake CMJ as New York's relevant annual indie rock event.
What's even better though is that they have a contest going on now as a ramp up to the festival that can win you a free iPad and festival badges. Not a bad proposition. We'll gladly give up our email address for those prizes.
This year's lineup includes Daily Vinyl favorites such as Real Estate, Liars, Grooms, Fucked Up, Fiery Furnaces, Polvo, Wavves, and a bunch more. Full lineup is here. We definitely recommend competing for that iPad and getting out to Northside this summer. We'll keep you updated on Northside news.
