So we just found out from The Examiner, and we are pretty excited, that ABKCO Records and Universal Music Group have announced they'll join forces to offer two vinyl box sets spanning over 40 years of the Rolling Stones' career, all of which will be released in November. Now we can't say that we are that stoked for the Voodoo Lounge double LP, but everything up to Tattoo You has us pretty pumped!

The box sets will include all 23 original studio albums, two Big Hits collections, two EPs. The sets will be released on November 23 in the U.S. and Canada (November 22 in the UK).  

 

The Rolling Stones 1964-1969 vinyl box set is a limited edition numbered box set collection that chronologically features the Stones' early U.K. releases. The set includes nine re-mastered Rolling Stones studio albums, two remastered EPs, plus two "Big Hits" collections. The first five titles in the set are presented in their original mono format. Even Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2) is included with its original octagonal cover and artwork!

 

The second volume, The Rolling Stones 1971-2005 starts strong, but you also have to deal with not so hot albums like Steel Wheels and Bridges to Babylon. Even though the good Stones records mostly putter out in the early 1980s, those '70s records are must haves! 

Each of these two volumes will be pressed on 180-gram virgin vinyl, and are said to sound pretty sweet.
