The Vaselines will release their first album in 20 years when their long-anticipated second LP Sex With an X arrives on Sub Pop this September. Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee have long been indie favorites, but they gained a widespread American audience after Kurt Cobain covered "Molly's Lips," "Son of a Gun" and "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam" with Nirvana during the MTV Unplugged series.
This record will be the lone followup to their amazing debut Dum-Dum back in 1990. The band had a short reunion in 2008, coinciding with Sub Pop's 20th Anniversary Festival. Needless to say we are stoked to see for this one, we have been waiting long enough!
