Band Review: The Fresh & Onlys

Band Review: The Fresh & Onlys: "

The Fresh and OnlysOne of the coolest bands to come out in the 2000's. The Fresh & Onlys combine a truly unique blend of contemporary indie rock, with an unapologetic homage to 1960's era garage. The Fresh & Onlys would start out as a collaboration between Blank Fiction frontman Tim Cohen and bassist Shayde Sartin, who began crafting songs for the band as far back as 2004.

The Fresh & Onlys' lineup would expanded to include Kyle Gibson, Wymond Miles, and Heidi Alexander; drawing from a number of influences that mesh 60's garage with the punk rock hooks of the Buzzcocks. Their sound encapsulates a sunshine filled day seen through a foggy lens, meshing a unique distorted quality to a wonderfully happy moment.

The Fresh and Onlys have released a few 7" records and two full lengths, including the wonderful Grey-Eyed Girls in 2009 on Woodist records.
