Record Store Day is only five short days away, and the surprises keep on coming, and this one might be the best yet! The recently reunited Blur has announced that they will be releasing a limited edition 7' of their first new song since 2003's Think Tank, which really doesn't count because Graham Coxon wasn't in the band. The single is set for release on Record Store Day, and will be limited to only 1,000 copies distributed exclusively to independent record stores, and unfortunatley for us here in the US the singles will only be available in the UK.
Lead singer Damon Albarn recently told The Sun, "We want independent record stores to continue. They’re an important part of our musical culture. Music is a simple way for Blur to show our support and we hope people like it.” Well done to Damon and the boys!
