Pink Floyd icon Roger Waters got into a little bit of trouble with Elliott Smith fans when he posted over the famous wall that graced Elliott Smith's album Figure 8.
Waters is promoting his tour which will feature him playing one of the great Pink Floyd records The Wall, and he is postering cities across America to promote it. Recently his team postered the wall outside Solutions Audio on Sunset, a wall that has since become a shrine for Elliott Smith fans since his untimely death in 2003. Needless to say Elliott's fans were pissed, but Roger has felt really bad about the incident stating, "I didn't want to disrespect Elliott Smith's fans, and I've instructed [the team] to remove the wheat paste immediately. It was a random pasting in the normal course of this, and I want to make it public that we had no intent to offend or cover up something precious."
Seems like a total misunderstanding, and good on him for speaking up.
